San Diego, California has an amazing 70 miles stretch of beaches. Let us find out which beaches are the best in San Diego, California. Coronado island has among the best beaches and resorts in San Diego. One has to cross along the Silver Stand to get there. Also housing the North Island U. S. Naval Air Station, the spot from which Lindbergh took off, it has amazing sandy beaches. The National Historic Landmark also known as hotel Del is located here. It attracted the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Duke and Duchess of Windsor and some other noted celebrities. There a lot of historic exhibits and photographs. Orange Avenue, the location in which Hotel Del is located is a busy shopping and a dining area.
Silver Strand and Imperial Beach is so known because of the tiny silver seashells which gather on the shores of this beach. It stretches from Coronado Island to the mainland. It has unspoiled sand beaches which is one of the reasons it plays host to the annual U. S. Open Sand Castle Competition. There is also a 1500-foot fishing pier which is home to The Tin Fish.
La Jolla which is Spanish for ‘The Jewel’ resembles beaches in Europe. There are quite a few world class hotels along with restaurants and art galleries here. Facilities are also available for spa, surfing, and eco-tourism.

Bazaar del Mundo in Old Town is undoubtedly the most popular market in San Diego. It has 16 international shops open on all days of the week. Guatemala shop, Geppetto’s , Ariana, Earth Wind and Sea are some of the shops housed in this complex which have something to offer for everybody.
Among the other famous malls is the Fashion Valley Mall which not surprisingly houses apparel stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, JC Penney apart from other specialty shops.
Seaport Village on Harbor drive has specialty stores with the backdrop of a waterfront courtyard. It has 75 shops and restaurants. University Towne Center on La Jolla Village Dive houses around 150 stores which are located outdoors. Nordstrom, Crate and Barrel, Warner Bros. Studio Store are among the ones located here. it also has a food court and a skating rink. Plaza Bonita on Bonita Road is an indoor shopping center housing Mann 6 Theaters, JC Penney, Mervyn's, Robinsons May and approximately over 140 shops and restaurants. Mission Valley Center in Camino Del Rio North houses AMC 20 multiplex, Bed Bath and Beyond, Seau's Sports Bar and Wolfgang Puck Café etc. with 120 Specialty shops and restaurants all located outdoors.

 If you are looking to stay near Gaslamp and want premium facilities, go to the Hilton Gaslamp Quarter Hotel. It takes only a brief drive from the airport to get to this place. It is close to restaurants galore offering different cuisines. The rooms are clean and high speed internet is available for free. The concierge and the staff are very helpful.
If you want to stay close to the beach, check Surfer Beach hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. Take a room with a view of the ocean, you will get dome great views. The rooms are furnished well. If you want to stay at an unpretentious, but value for money hotel, check into Old Town Inn The continental breakfast is quite good and the heated pool is plus. It is located in a serene environs too. It is however close to the old town where you can get the trolleys and buses.

 San Diego has staked a claim to be a truly world-class city. It has all the accompaniments such as a vibrant art scene, cosmopolitan character and more! Balboa Park in San Diego, one of the more prominent tourist spots, is considered the largest urban cultural park in the whole of U.S. It has over 85 exclusive spots such as museums, art galleries, the Globe Theatre, zoo, gardens, children’s playgrounds and so forth.
The county has over 90 golf courses, avenues for other sports, spas, beach resorts, gaming, and facilities for differently abled tourists and more.  San Diego County, CA is home to 70 miles of unalloyed waters of beaches. This city is the seventh largest city in United States and second only to Los Angeles in California. The population is approximately 2.8 million in the total county area of 4,200 sq. miles. 18 other cities make along with San Diego make up this county. Topping the tourist agenda are the beaches. Apart from them, the top attractions are a renowned zoo, Balboa Park, Sea World etc.
In the East County of San Diego lies the mining town of Julian. Close to it is the Anza Borrego Desert State Park which spans an area of 600,000 acres. This is an ideal spot for eco-friendly tourists wherein they can camp, hike and enjoy the rich flora and fauna around.
In the Northern County of San Diego, top quality grapes are grown which are used in vineyards. The scientific research center at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography is also located in the San Diego County which borders Mexico. In fact Mexican border is only sixteen miles away from Downtown San Diego.
